I read some things about an early 1900’s energy medicine pioneer, Harold Saxton Burr that I would like to share with you. He was a professor at Yale School of Medicine starting in 1929, published several papers on the nervous system and 93 papers on the role of electricity in human development and disease.
At the time that Burr was doing his research on energy fields, they were very out of fashion. Now, as scientists are getting interested in energy medicine again, his work is showing its real value. Read more... (475 words, 2 images, estimated 1:54 mins reading time)

There has always been a battle between traditional western medicine and so-called alternative approaches to wellness. The most traditional on the one side say that alternative methods (like massage or energy work) might feel nice but they don’t do anything. The more radical on the other side say that doctors only know what the drug companies teach them. Read more... (557 words, estimated 2:14 mins reading time)

Today I want to focus on mental wellness. You’ve been told about how powerful affirmations are, but have you heard of I AM statements?
Affirmations are statements of what you want to do, be, or have and they work for some and don’t seem to for others. I think the people who get them to work are those who have figured out that they need to write their affirmations in the present tense, as if they were true right now and add in emotion and gratitude. Like Bob Proctor’s statement: “I am so happy and grateful now that…” Read more... (364 words, estimated 1:27 mins reading time)

Do you know someone who has problems with acid blood? What you drink can have a big impact on your blood pH level.
Why should you care about blood pH? Our bodies are designed to live happy and healthy in a narrow, slightly alkaline pH range. If we get much outside of that range we start to get sick, develop chronic problems, and will eventually die if we don’t correct it quickly. Read more... (455 words, estimated 1:49 mins reading time)

I have always heard that reverse osmosis water purification systems are wasteful, but I had no idea how wasteful they really were until today.
I work with a network marketing company that sells water filters among other things, so I decided to do some research about other water filtration systems for your home. Of course, I’m hoping that when I’m done all of the evidence will say you should buy mine, but I’m trying to keep an open mind about what I find. Read more... Do you have a shower water filter?
You probably make sure that your drinking water is filtered because you know that you don’t want to drink chlorinated water. Some people even shower after swimming to rinse off the chlorine from the pool (which is pointless because the chlorine has already been absorbed by the skin and there is probably more chlorine in the shower water, unless it is filtered).
Chlorine is absorbed very quickly and easily by the skin, especially when it is heated. Heat opens the pores and relaxes the skin. The heat in a shower makes it easier for the chlorine to escape the water and become a free gas that we breathe in as well. Read more... (194 words, estimated 47 secs reading time)

I’m with a network marketing company that, among other things, sells a nutritional juice product. I received an email this morning from my upline that made me think about artificial additives in our food. Someone had asked our MLM company if they could share the difference between our juice product with the juice product from a competitor.
It turns out that the competitor’s juice, which contains a lot of vitamin C, also contains sodium benzoate as a preservative. Sodium benzoate can interact with vitamin C and form benzene, an organic solvent that is known to cause cancer and liver damage. Read more... (240 words, estimated 58 secs reading time)

Have you been working toward a goal but can’t seem to ever achieve it? You’ve been dieting but the weight doesn’t go away. Doing the right things in your business but the money isn’t coming. You’ve been trying to live the Law of Attraction but nothing is happening.
The problem could be that you are resisting what you are trying to achieve. EFT, or Emotional Freedom Techniques could be the answer. I was introduced to EFT recently by Bob Doyle (from The Secret) through his Wealth Beyond Reason program and it is truly amazing. The basic idea is that you can clear out the resistance by tapping certain points on the body’s meridian system while repeating various phrases about whatever is holding you back. I know it sounds pretty crazy but it really works. Read more... (214 words, estimated 51 secs reading time)

I read an interesting article recently about Candida overgrowth. Candida is a yeast that lives in our digestive tracts and we do just fine with it there because it is kept in check by other bacteria that also live there. Sometimes it can get out of control when we take antibiotics, which kill the good bacteria that keep the candida in check, and/or eat too much sugar, which causes it to grow out of control. This is “candida overgrowth”. When out of balance, the candida will cause you to crave sugar and will sap your energy so that you always feel tired among other things. Read more...
